Description
Summary:Increase of size, rise of complexity and labour intensity of development, increase of operational risk costs in operation of modern information systems dramatically increase the requirements for their quality both from customers and developers of complex software. To effectively solve the problems of software quality assurance, it is advisable to use existing quality management  standards  at  all  stages  of  life  cycles  of  information  systems.  The  authors  analysed  the  international  and national  standards  in  the  area  of  ensuring  the  quality  of  information  systems  and  software.  Based  on  the  analysis,  a structure for standard classification is proposed. Three groups of standards are defined that regulate: the organisation’s quality management, the life cycle of software and systems, the quality of software tools and systems. Within the groups, the corresponding subgroups are determined. Brief characteristics of individual groups and subgroups of standards and the scope of their application are given. A table with a detailed list of the main current international and national standards for the quality of software and systems grouped in accordance to the proposed classification scheme is provided.
