Summary: | Introduction. The technological advances have allowed a greater survival of newborns at risk. However, the biological risk factors that these children were exposed can increase the chance of them to present delays in their growth and development. Objectives. To evaluate the repercussions of the biological risk factors in the neuromotor development of the nurslings. Methods. The sample consisted of 80 nurslings. The experimental group was constituted by 25 nurslings with biological risk history. The instruments used for data collection were. M-flex, the Neonatal Behavioral Assesment Scale, biopsychosocial form and the child health card. The statistic tests used were. t-test to independent sample, U Mann, Witnney and Spearman tests. Results. The nurslings of the risk group demonstrated lower neuromotor performance than the nurslings group without risk history in relation to organization and reflexes. Nurslings with biological risk presents grip pattern of the right and the left hands under at the group without risk history. Conclusions. This study showed that the biological risk factors can cause significant repercussions with respect to the neuromotor development of nurslings. |
