Description
Summary:Arab Islamic scholars have played a major role in the development of science and knowledge and have produced work that has been regarded by many as the catalyst for the enlightenment of the world. They have set foundations and were responsible for many scientific breakthroughs. Yet contemporary history books and academic curriculums neglected these contributions and the role they played. This paper presents research evidence that documents some of these contributions and initiates the argument that there is a need to present such work, connect the past to the present by presenting what seems to have been lost along the way.
