This article discusses only three years of his career, between 1811 and 1813, when he moved from the one place to the other. It seeks to show how this key figure and his career and his relations may illustrate the political situation in different jurisdictional spaces, which, despite pertaining to the Spanish monarchy, had different developments and responses to global processes.
