There have been many methods of determining the Qibla direction that have been found by scholars, such as the “Tongkat Istiwa”, “Rubu” “Mujayyab”, Compas, Theodolite. With these methods, this research has examined two ancient mosques on the island of Lombok, namely the Ancient Mosque of Bayan Belek and the Ancient Mosque of Mount Pujut. The study approach is qualitative, historical-empirical analysis, and methods of extracting data on observation, interviews, and documentation. In this research, it was found the fact that the direction of thetwo ancient mosques both the Ancient Mosque of Bayan Beleq and the Ancient Mosque of Mount Pujut were the result of the ijtihad of the scholars who founded the mosque. This happened for two reasons: first, when the mosque was built around 300-500 years ago, no modern equipment was found that could help in measuring the Qibla direction. Secondly, none of the notes that were written related to the procedure for measuring the Qibla direction of these two ancient mosques. Furthermore, the accuracy of the Qibladirection between the Bayan Beleq Ancient Mosque and the Ancient Mount Pujut Mosque are quite different. Both of these mosques have different levels of accuracy, meaning that it is possible that these two mosques were built by two different scholars. Bayan Beleq Ancient Mosque has a fairly good accuracy, which can be seen from the data obtained. Bayan Ancient Mosque Beleq has a Qibla azimuth number of 2990 20 ’23" UTSB or 290 20 ’23" BU (Northwest). Meanwhile, the Ancient Mount Pujut Mosque has a great accuracy in the direction of the Qibla direction, where the Mount Pujut Ancient Mosque has a Qibla azimuth number of 2710 28 '05 "UTSB or 80 28' 05" BU (Northwest). Qibla direction of the Ancient Mosque of Mount Pujut deviates as much as 200 49 '23 "to the south from the direction of the Qibla should.http://jurnal.radenfatah.ac.id/index.php/Nurani/article/view/2775arah kiblatmasjid kuno bayan beleqmasjid kuno gunung pujut.
