Summary: | By means of this study, we sought to portray aspects of the isomorphism of the executive, here understood as aprogressive convergence of individuals to a tendency, by means of the imitation, seeking legitimacy, in the mainBrazilian companies. The identification of this isomorphism was made by means of the quantitative analysis in asample of 965 male and female executives, and qualitative, with elements of discourse analysis contained ininterviews and focus groups conducted with 263 executives. The main contribution of this work was to initiate thediscussion of the isomorphism of individuals and classes, in this case the executives. It was verified how theexecutive legitimizes and perpetuates socially built relationships, which end up supporting inequalities of gender andpower.
