The basic requirement in applying this model of maintenance is to determine the optimal periodicity that should satisfy some mutually conflicting criteria. This paper presents a methodology for determining the periodicity of the preventive maintenance of V46-6 engines on the basis of collecting and processing statistical data about their malfunctions. This problem can be solved if all important requests and limitations are determined.
