Description
Summary:This paper aims to go beyond whether translation belongs to linguistics by determining the essential characteristics that should exist to make this relationship more fruitful. We question the possibility of a new translation field away from the traditional methodologies. The research uses a transdisciplinary approach and the “poetics of translating” of Henry Meschonnic. We emphasize the importance of learning from the general linguistic theories. We propose that translation can be a cross-cutting science. The effectiveness of the theory at both levels; the understanding of translation and teaching development plays a significant role.
