State of QOL was assessed by questionnaire VFQ-25 before surgery and at 1 week and 6 months of its implementation.</p><p><br /><strong>Results:</strong> In the study of QOL before surgery, there was a significant reduction of the total QOL index by an average of 15 % relative to the control group (p &lt;0.05). In the late postoperative period recorded a progressive increase in the total index of QOL, which then reached values of the control group (p&gt; 0.05).</p><p><br /><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Vitrectomy to treat the vitreous opacities improves the visual function and quality of life for patients.</p>http://www.ophthalmojournal.com/index.php/opht/article/view/125vitreous opacitiesvitrectomyquality of life
