| Summary: | The paper looks into the process of transition and its outcomes in Serbia. Macroeconomic indicators have been used to explain its socio-economic impact. The consequences of transition are manifested in rising inequality and poverty. The prospects of economic growth and increase in employment lie in the development of entrepreneurship. In this paper, entrepreneurship is also viewed as an exit strategy for seeking solutions to the growing problems related to poverty, improving the social position of individuals and families, and ensuring the higher quality of life. The aim of the paper is further affirmation of this issue. |
