This paper aims to analyze the two main business processes responsible for energy innovation in a telecommunications company: “develop property strategy and long-term vision” and “evaluate environmental impact of products, services, and operations”. The processes will be introduced using an initial set of key-performance indicators (KPIs) and American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC) Process Classification Framework activities. Through value stream analysis, the non-value-added activities will be eliminated. Ultimately, to provide an overview for the stakeholders, a new set of KPIs will be proposed and the processes will be modeled using Event-Driven Process Chain (EPC) and Suppliers-Inputs-Process-Outputs-Customers (SIPOC) methods.https://www.mdpi.com/2504-3900/63/1/6sustainable development strategyenergy innovationtelecommunicationsbusiness processevent-driven process methodvalue stream analysis
