| Summary: | This paper aims to present a methodology using data mining for clustering by combination frequency of disasters in the state of Santa Catarina – Brazil. This can help strategic coordination in setting priorities and sharing experience among municipalities. Hence, the methodology proposed in this research is to check the frequency by type of disaster in all municipalities and identify similar regions to standardize and suggest a method of prevention, thereby improving and assisting in the decision-making processes in the face of events involving humanitarian logistics. For each cluster, the experience and knowledge can be shared, which could provide a basis for integrated planning in order to prepare the logistics processes when disaster is imminent. A computational experiment applying the proposed methodology was carried out using the k-means algorithm. The results are presented and analyzed at the end. |
