Governança ambiental e turismo: a participação de atores no Parque Nacional Tortuguero, Costa Rica

The experience in the construction of environmental governance around the Tortuguero National Park, is the main point of this paper. It will be analyzed from the implementation of the Local Council of Tor - tuguero / West Sector and the articulation of some agents of the Coastal Sector, remarkably, where there is a higher incidence of tourism. This paper is structured on the basis of qualitative research, such a the collec - tion of specialized bibliography, of documental and legal data, and also by means of interviews. Through such movements, it was identified a number of actions related to conservation of the environment and tourism in a sustainable perspective. However, despite the progress made, a need to undertake further efforts by all prob - lems remain with various aspects that historically are unsustainable for the management of the environment.
