| Summary: | Drawing on Gérard Genette’s methodology as articulated in his book Paratexts, this article explores the meaning of the paratexts included in José Tafalla y Negrete’s Ramillete poético (1706). This essay is particularly interesting because it was not the poet himself who took care of editing his verse, but a group of Zaragoza friends of him. This article suggests that the main objective of these paratexts is exalting friendship among the Zaragoza poetic group. |
