Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa/i kelas XII SMA yang berada di kecamatan Karawang Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel <em>proportional random sampling. </em>Pengujian hipotesis meliputi uji normalitas,  analisis regresi linier sederhana dan uji koefisien determinasi. Dari hasil analisis tersebut diperoleh persamaan regresi Y = 168,044  + 1,649X dan hasil pengujian F untuk koefisien determinasi sebesar 2,.350. sedangkan R kritik (n = 70; dengan taraf signifikansi 5%) = 0,033. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi linier sederhan yang dilanjutkan dengan uji koefisien determinasi dengan menggunakan Program SPSS bahwa jenis kelamin hanya mempengaruhi minat melanjukan studi sebesar 3,3 %, sedangkan faktor lain yang mempengaruhi minat namun tidak diteliti oleh peneliti ada sebesar 96,7%</p><p> </p><p class="keywords">Kata kunci: jenis kelamin, minat melanjutkan studi</p><p class="Abstract" align="center">ABSTRACT</p><p>The research aims to analyze and examine the influence of gender influencing the interest in continuing college studies in mathematics education department of UNSIKA. This study used a quantitative research with a survey method. The population in this study were the high school students in class XII in Kecamatan Karawang Barat. The samples were selected used proportional random sampling technique. The data was analyzed by testing the hypothesis, included normality test, simple linear regression analysis, and the determination coefficient test. From the results of the analysis, it is obtained a regression equation Y = 168,044 + 1,649X and F test results for the determination coefficient is 2,350; while R criticism (n = 70; with a significance level of 5%) is 0,033. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis followed by the determination coefficient test using the SPSS Program, it is known that gender only affects interest in continuing study at mathematics education department of UNSIKA by 3,3%, while the other factors that influence interest but not examined in this research affect by 96.7%.</p><em>Keywords</em>: <em>gender, interest in continuing study</em>http://jurnal.unma.ac.id/index.php/th/article/view/1185
