We emphasize that many efforts were made to make DEMETRA one of the references in the area of Food and Nutrition, reaching the goals of periodicity, indexation in several bases, number of articles published and, mainly, the quality of the texts. There were many challenges, especially between the years 2015 and 2017, due to the financial crisis of the State of Rio de Janeiro, which affected UERJ hard. Even so, the journal grew and strengthened. We are now given the task of conducting it from the next issue. We reaffirm our commitment to the improvement, maintenance of the quality of the journal and the search for indexation in other databases, in addition to keeping it in open access, allowing a greater diffusion of the knowledge produced by teaching and research institutions. Many new features will be announced in the next issue: new associate editors, site renewal, inclusion of the journal in social networks and a new section. Wait... Finally, we would like to count on the support of all, so that together we honor the commitment to publish socially relevant works, conducted ethically and creatively.
