Description
Summary:Studies conducted in European Union countries show how the presence of women in certain professional areas, defined as masculine, can give rise to debates of norms and values that concern the “use of oneself” programmed by others in the workplace. This hypothesis is confronted with analyses that consider the disappearance of gender inequalities as a source of social and political development. This article intends to shed light on the arguments that support these two approaches, without neglecting the questions they raise, namely regarding the concept of “development”.
