Stress-related disorders in parents of children with cancer at the stage of hospital treatment

The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychopathological features of post-traumatic stress symptoms and the role of some psychosocial factors in the formation of adjustment disorders in parents of childhood cancer patients in hospital. 52 parents aged 22 to 48 years old were selected by screening for "Hospital Anxiety /Depression Scale » (HADS) and examined clinical and psychopathological method. A comprehensive analysis of clinical and psychosocial characteristics of adjustment disorders was conducted. The article presents the clinical and typological variants, the basic principles of treatment and rehabilitation.
