| Summary: | Purpose. The purpose of this work is to apply the main provisions of the evaluation theory in the linguistic analysis of the text. Methodology and Approach. The article offers a method of text analysis in the aspect of the evaluation category and provides a specific example of a linguistic analysis of a fragment of a literary text. Methods of observation, generalization, and interpretation were applied. Results. In the specific text fragment, we identified means of expressing the subjective assessment of the lexical, morphological, and syntactic levels, which contribute to the adequate perception of the author's concept by the reader. Theoretical and / or Practical Implications. The results of the study contribute to the methodology of the linguistic analysis of the text.
