Based on the reliability of the power supply of the 3rd generations of NPPs and combined with the application of the defend in depth concept in the electrical system, this paper provides a brief introduction of the typical 3rd generation NPP electrical system in the following area: the configuration of the electrical power system, defence in depth principle of the power supply, the basic structure of electrical power system.
