Description
Summary:The wax precipitation is a problem that can be present in production operations, transport or storage of hydrocarbons, causing big technical and economic problems. For that reason, it is important to have tools by means of which you can predict the conditions to which happens the precipitation phenomenon, to implement preventive methods and/or correctives that help our in the solution of the problem. A thermodynamic model that is adjusted to the conditions of particular field can be useful to determine the wax deposition envelope (WDE) that is a serie of crystallization points in those that the areas are demarcated where one can or not to present the precipitation. In this comparative study four representative models of the investigation schools were evaluated of this area that it exist in the world and that was selected that represents the best behavior for the conditions of the oil Field School Colorado that historically has presented this severe problem.
