An impact of ethyl esters of groundnut acid oil (vegetable oil refinery waste) used as emerging fuel in DI diesel engine
The major diesel consumption is in the field of automobile, industry and agriculture. The increasing the petroleum cost also increasing the other consumable cost, it affects the economics of growing country like India. Biodiesel is considered as a promising alternative to fossil fuels worldwide. The...

Biodiesel is considered as a promising alternative to fossil fuels worldwide. The oils selected for the study are groundnut acid oil from vegetable oil refinery industrial waste. The oil is converted into their ethyl esters by the transesterification process. Ethyl Esters of Ground Nut Acid Oil (EEGAO) and their blends (B20EEGAO, B40 EEGAO, B60EEGAO and B80EEGAO) each with diesel have been evaluated in the present investigation for single cylinder DI diesel engine. The speed of the test engine was maintained at 1500 rpm in entire experiment and speed to be controlled by governor is used to control. The results obtained performance parameters slightly reduce when the engine operated with all EEGAO blend. B20EEGAO blends reduce the emission compare to all other blends and diesel.
