Summary: | The article discusses the connection between fundamental science and innovation on the examples of leading European universities and their science parks. It is noted that the role of innovative component of the University science is steadily increasing. Also increases interest of scientists in commercialization of research results; the influence of this factor on the location of science parks is growing. Based on the study of innovative objects the authors present the main features of the architectural design and spatial techniques, contributing to the reduction of time of commercialization of research results and increasing their effectiveness. The descriptions and illustrations of some of the universities in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Finland are given
