Readings of the Transformation of </em><em>the Museum Frederic Marès</em>, which reports the experience of eight artists from the group Equipo Confluencias [The Crossing Lab] belonging to the Facultat de Belles Arts of the University of Barcelona (convenios ref. UB 007095 and UB 008992). Throughout the period of renovation of the Museu Frederic Marès in Barcelona (2009-2011) they have re-visited its rooms in translation. Under these special circumstances the works -which are generally the protagonists of the Museum-, lack their usual aura and allow a peculiar closeness that has been explored through the project.</p><p><em>Trans·formare </em>consists in a research on the artistic object and its image, across the experiences of transformation and memory. On the other hand, the project has also sought to reread Aby Warburg’s work, his iconographic catalogue and especially his <em>Mnemosyne, </em>contributing to new readings and interpretative perspectives in museum studies.</p><p>This article pretends to analyze and describe this project, its ideological bases, development and results, which have produced a temporary exhibition with which the Museum Marès has re-opened and that can be visited until January 2012.</p>http://revistas.ucm.es/index.php/ARIS/article/view/38046EsculturaIconografíaInterpretación artísticaMemoriaMuseografía
