Description
Summary:In the present article the cultural significance of the city of Tunja is studied based on the perception of its inhabitants, expressed by them in a virtual survey in which they inquire about urban imaginability and readability. Through this opinion study, used as a method to establish the spirit of the place, it is concluded that there are many more lived elements to be taken into account as part of the cultural heritage context, not contemplated within the archetypal images that are commonly sought to be transmitted in the city. We identified some environmental characteristics that arouse positive emotions in the people surveyed, not even considered as the context of the local cultural heritage, emotionally charged and vividly imagined, which structure in a certain way the real landscape of the inhabitants, related to their social values, environmental, landscape and cultural.
