Description
Summary:The aim this work proposes a didactic sequence for the teaching of affine function by using an active teaching methodology named project-based learning concomitantly with the traditional teaching of mathematics. Participated in activities of didactic sequence 105 students of the first grade of high school in a public school were divided into three classes in the school year of 2016 and 2017. It was adopted a qualitative approach with the use of a self-assessment questionnaire for students. The results indicate a greater engagement of the students in the proposed activities and a greater perception of the relation of Mathematics to their daily life. The didactic sequence promotes the skills of the 21st century in an integral education approach insofar as it complements the conceptual and procedural contents present in the textbooks by adding the attitudinal content by the Project-Based Learning project.
