Application of Prevention Levels to the Chronic Renal Disease

Renal chronic disease has been considered at present as one of the most important epidemics of the XXI century due to the deterioration it causes in the quality of life and its association to premature mobility and mortality, with biological, psychological, social and economical complications for the individual, the family and the community. Estimated data by the Panamerican Health Organization and World Health Organization register it as a health problem worldwide. Therefore it is necessary to strengthen the preparation of basic health groups with the objective of guaranteeing early identification and control of the risk and progression factors of this illness.
