Such pollution remains suspended on the air as exiguous particles of mattes from both burns of solid materials, fossil fuel and upraised dust from soil and they may be inhaled, resulting into several damages to human health, besides the climate disorders. Based on such considerations, this manuscript will encompass the analysis and characterization of the climate in Dourados city, from Mato Grosso do Sul (MS) state, as well as to develop a theoretical-methodological guide for the conception and quantifi cation of pollution across this area related to particulate matter suspended on the atmosphere. For this purpose, we opted by an analysis proposed in the 80´s with the use of coff ee fi lter, disposable paper filters, pet bottles, wooden broomsticks and analytical balance.
