Summary:The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop learning activities plans entitled “Civilizations in Asia” in social studies, religion and culture learning strand group for Mathayomsueksa 2 students by using project based learning with a required efficiency criterion of 80/80, 2) to compare learning achievement by using project based learning with the criteria of 80 percent and 3) to study of students’ satisfaction towards the project based learning. The sample consisted of 52 Mathayomsueksa 2/10 students of Sarakhampittayakhom School who studying in the second semester in an academic year 2015 under Mahasarakham Secondary Educational Service Area office 26, studying in the second semester of academic year 2015 which selected by cluster random sampling. The instruments used in the study were lesson plans using project based learning plan, learning achievement test abilities test with discriminating powers ranging 0.29 - 0.83 and a reliability of 0.80 and satisfaction questionnaire with a reliability of 0.92. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test (one-samples) The research finding was summarized as follows: 1. The efficiencies of learning activities plans entitled “ Civilizations in Asia” in social study, religion and culture learning strand group for Mathayomsueksa 2 students by using project based learning was 86.67/82.31, which was higher than the set criteria. (80/80) 2. The Mathayomsueksa 2 students who learned through the project based learning showed higher in the learning achievement than the criteria of 80 percent at the.01 level of significance. 3. The Mathayomsueksa 2 students’ satisfaction toward the project based learning entitled “Civilizations in Asia” in overall were at a high level.
