The Whitney possesses the world’s largest collection of American art and focuses on exhibiting living artists. Spectacular, industrial in character architecture signed by Renzo Piano has met with mixed reactions. Only popularity, high attendance and commercial success of famous Paris facility changed that negative opinion.
