Summary: | Introduction: In Chile, the worries are multiple as for the treatment of the sexuality and its ambiences, which has provoked tensions both in the political thing and in the educational thing. For it, the objective of the present study is to analyze the adolescents´ conceptions on sexuality and their relation with the school curriculum. Method: A qualitative investigation was carried out during the period 2018, in a elementary school of Castro's commune, Region of The Lagos, Chile. A sample of 25 students was selected, 15 of the feminine sex and 10 of the masculine sex of between 12 and 14 years, which were studying 7 ° year of elementary education. There were used techniques of free association of words, focus group, and the information triangulation as main analysis methodology. Results: it was observed that the conceptions of the students with regard to the sexuality appear in a structured way and that it is restricted to the school curriculum. It was concluded that the conceptions of the sexuality of the students are identified only with the sexual relations and in particular with the sexual act. A weak position is evident with regard to the autonomy on the pleasant and responsible exercise of sexuality. This is caused by the poor information management about sexuality. The students showed interest in sensitive topics like the homosexuality, the pregnancy and the infections of sexual transmission. Discussion: the results confront with budgets and investigators' suggestions of the topic that they answer to the needs of the adolescent students to strengthen the sex education in the elementary school.
