The definition of the urban borders in the city of Bogota D.C. is seen as a crucial sector component in the land use planning and especially in the need to change the view of what has been this issue in the district, urgently requiring the incorporation of the environmental and social component, being a great opportunity to promote a new vision, given the particular conditions and needs to achieve a more compatible relation between urban and rural. It is on such complex scenario where to define a model of an achievable and innovative environmental land planning is needed, in which as many elements as possible are incorporated. Taking into account, of course, the current conflicts and taking into consideration and incorporating the potentialities which also has the area, in aspects such as the presence of relict of natural ecosystems, its ecosystemic diversity repretativeness, regarding the ecosystemic potenciality of the Savanna and the strengths that exist in the communities, especially in rural areas, for example in the peasant organization that they have since its origins, their sense of belonging; and the willingness to be part of processes of land environmental planning, among others.
