Summary: | Dignity is the common point of unity and existence of all human beings and, therefore, its preservation must legitimize and justify the State action, which must ensure the effectiveness of certain rights considered essential for people to reach a necessary life standard in order to participate as full members of society. In this list of fundamental rights, social and labor rights are included. The purpose of this research is to analyze the scope of human dignity as the main principle of national and international legal rules of protection of social and labor rights, particularly in Brazil, with the aim of reaffirming its universal and unquestionable status. |
