Description
Summary:The image that vassalry have of their monarchs gets its greatest plasticity in the context of royal feast, specially when the reason of the celebration is the coming of the own sovereign. In 1802 Valencians didn’t misspend the opportunity to receive kindly Charles IV and his Royal Family with the typical Old Regime entertainments. Poetic compositions were one of the instruments used by Valencians -both men and institutions- to show their conception of monarchy in the late days of the Old Regine. To its analysis we dedicate our study.
