Summary:Research aims to improve social studies learning about environmental awareness and achievement of learning through contextual approach. Bervokus action research on increasing awareness ingkungan and social studies achievement. The technique of collecting data through observation interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. The results of the contextual approach ikesadaran students pick a good learning environment and achievement. Increased environmental awareness pre cycle reaches 56.25%. 62.5% first cycle, second cycle 81.25% pre silkus Improved performance value - average grade 7.1, 7.5 Cycle I and Cycle II 80, students completed. So concluded the increase in environmental awareness and achievement of learning through contextual approach, students achieve KKM 75.
