Description
Summary:An increasing number of research teams in human and social sciences have decided to set up an observatory in order to provide an organizational frame to their activities and to promote the results. What role does the survey play, and the interview in particular, in this mediation of research? How can this mediation of research methods contribute to the process of reflexivity on research in social sciences? The case study of observatories of research in communication presented in this paper shows a work in progress of editing about research activity which informs us about the ambiguous relationship that researchers have with the knowledge issues of the survey, in particular in the context of targeted research.
