Description
Summary:The objective of our paper is to analyze the spatial diffusion of international trade in WAEMU. For our analyses, we used recent panel data for the eight countries of the union over the period 1960–2015. Results reveal that international trade spreads spatially and positively in the union. There are thus inter-country economic gains in exchange in the union. The promotion of economic cooperation and the policy of free movement of goods and services and individuals in the union must thus remain very favorable to the trade and growth of the countries.
