| Summary: | This work analyzed the crew of the maritime cruises in Brazil. The method used was qualitative and exploratory. The overall objective of this research is to analyze the labor market in the cruise the Brazilian coast and understand how professionals enter this line of work, identify the required skills and competencies required to act in various entertainment functions, hospitality and service on board. The research was based on analysis of interviews of candidates for job openings, in the intermediary agencies and maritimes companies, and of the professionals working in the area, about the job market in question, the selection processes, training, hiring procedures, skills and competencies in the qualification of these professionals. The result allows us to understand the reasons for which people adapt and qualify to track changes in this labor market and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
