It offers to expand the horizons of the numerous works carried out up to the date relying on Jacques Derrida’s theories and reasonings on the notion of testimony or witnessing, in order to analyze the limits and the strengths of the narrative project of the authoress. Across this research, it will evoke the reasons for which the writer, who comes from a right-winged aristocratic family, felt the need to deliver the testimonies of communist victims of Franco. After questioning the possibility of bearing witness for the other, it will point that Chacón’s perspective may in fact proceed of an ideological coherence with the contemporary political power.http://journals.iai.spk-berlin.de/index.php/iberoamericana/article/view/2305Dulce ChacónJacques DerridaNovelaTestimonioPosmemoriaEspaña
