The index of fault tolerant capability is proposed. The analyzing results show that, for different redundancy architectures, the fault coverage rate or the branch fault rate have different effects on the reliability. Especially, the influence of the branch fault rate is more significant. In addition, the fault tolerant capability of the redundant system to multiple faults is determined by the system architecture scheme and the fault coverage rate.
