| Summary: | The aim of the work is to analyze the development of entrepreneurship in small cities in ŚwiętokrzyskieVoivodeship during 2000–2008. Examination covered 23 cities, which populationdoes not exceed 20 000 inhabitants. This article presents the essence and measures of entrepreneurshipin small cities in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, and changes in distribution anddevelopment in the number of transactors observed in this area. Conducted analysis showed,that in 2000–2008 there was development of entrepreneurship in small cities in ŚwiętokrzyskieVoivodeship. Number of private entities increased from 13 561 to 14 910 (9,9 per centincrease), and the growth of entrepreneurship predominantly covered centres with a long-termservice or industrial traditions. |
