Summary:AI techniques have always played a key role in medical science. In this paper, a new technique has been devised to identify the problems in human dentition. The idea is to collect the recorded radiographs and apply various enhancement techniques to identify the defected tooth and further apply feature extraction process to highlight the indefinite areas. Self organizing maps have been conceptualized to identify clusters based on similar patterns in the defective tooth. The idea behind the proposed technique is to reduce the time in identifying the problems or diseases locally.
