Summary:Using survey data from 102 industrial enterprises, this study empirically examines the extent to which quality initiatives are implemented and the effects of quality initiatives on financial performance amongst top Turkish 500 industrial enterprises. The findings of the study are: (1) majority of Turkey’s top 500 industrial enterprises implement at least one quality initiative; (2) there are significant associations between implementing quality initiatives and top 500 ranking; (3) and qualityinitiative implementing companies outperform in financial performance compared to non-quality-initiative implementing companies.
