The study was developed through data base search and image collection with a digital camera, in the nursing laboratory and at the Western Parana UniversityHospital (Hospital Universitário do Oeste do Paraná). The material was organized in modules, and the results are published in the following electronic address: http://www.unioeste.br/projetos/terapiaintravenosa/pdf/1.pdf.
