Description
Summary:The speech about the development of the Brazilian Amazon rainforest gives an important place to the process of touristification. The rhetoric of the first strategies is usually marked by superlatives and a selective valorization of space. However, a look at the practices shows us that tourism is not the only motive.  In order to understand this process, we will concentrate our focus on the integration process period (1964-1985). The part of these public and private actors involved in the process of bringing tourism to the Amazon is the object of this article.
