Summary: | Originally dedicated to the conservation of perishable agricultural surplus, the attic has gradually lost this function only related to subsistance to become a space where domestic goods are put away and stored. The existence of these goods, far from coming to an end, continues in a slower pace, which nevertheless entails major transformations. This article is about the reversals that occur in the attics. It displays different kinds of reshaping that affect the status and the properties of the stored goods, closely scrutinizing four distinctive processes that strengthen or weaken the domestic relevance of these goods : integration of an order, rewilding, temporal disjunction and delegated destruction. |
