Attention is given to a new class of antihyperglycemic agents — incretins, particularly liraglutide. Fast, stable, and a significant reduction of body weight in the treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, who suffer from obesity, as well as the findings of phase II clinical trial, which enrolled volunteers with obesity, enable not only to consider liraglutide as a drug used for diabetes treatment, but also to set it for drug therapy of obesity. |
