The theory of E. Mössel at the root of the plan governing a Gipuzkoan farm house model from the 15th century. Part 1

Recent research results based on architectural analyses and dendrochronology have enabled the identification of a Gipuzkoan farm house model dating back to the middle of the 15th century. The analysis of several case studies has revealed the existence of geometric and construction habits that seem t...

The analysis of several case studies has revealed the existence of geometric and construction habits that seem to comply with a pattern governed by a system of  proportion. The aim of this article is to ascertain the geometric  rules underlying this farm house model, and, taking into account the importance of the golden ratio in literature regarding the composition rules governing many of the great architectural  works of the past, to put forward a hypothesis based on the theory of the German E. Moessel. The results are convincing and we can conclude that the studied farm houses share a common geometrical system based on the golden ratio, which opens up an  interesting line of investigation in a field that, in the past, has been limited almost exclusively to religious architecture.https://polipapers.upv.es/index.php/EGA/article/view/12365proporción áureageometríatrazado reguladormösselcaseríogipuzkoaedad media
