Summary: | The process of aging population in Brasil and the change in the age structure of the population has occurred many alterations in the way to approach the care to the health of the people in the oldness. The scientific community, now a days, has to accept the importance of the familiar context as "locus" for the care to the aged sick people and the relevance of a multiprofessional boarding to the these families. From there, the necessity of the affirmation of the physiotherapy work in domiciliary environment, searching to add strategies for effectiveness in the therapeutical boarding. This study is a description, of qualitative nature, that had for objective to characterize the domiciliary care to the families of the project "Physiotherapy in Attention to the Health of Aged in the Family and the Community". For in such a way, visits to the twelve families of aged had been made in the Inocoop Quarter, Jequié-BA, by four consecutive months, two times for week and had been analyzed handbooks constructed from the carried through visits domiciliary. Thus, the physiotherapy work in the domiciliary as directed to the three spheres could be characterized: familiar education (promotion and prevention), care and reabilitation. Thus, the Collective Physioterapy comes to search to promote the attention for aged and theirs families, contributing for the process of human and collective development. |
