Description
Summary:One of the most interesting novelties in the new study programs, created in the last few years, has been the extensive introduction of a period of professional practices, both mandatory and optional. The goal for this new aspect of the programs is to fill the current gap between theory and practice, towards the formation of competitive professionals, and, at the same time, as a mechanism to make students'entry into the work market easier. In the first part of the article, some thoughts, from a theoretical perspective, have been presented, in order to shed new light on the design of any degree' s practicum. The second part, of the article introduces the design of the practicum. For the most part, this design has been conceived to be applied in Technical Industrial Engineering, althoug many aspects of it are closely related to other scientific and technical areas.
